Position Overview

​

We are seeking on-call Food Handlers/Servers to assist with monthly, event-based cooking classes and food events. This is a casual, seasonal position—you will be contacted for specific workshops and events, typically once per month or as needed.

 

Key Responsibilities

​

• Assist with food plating, and serving at culinary events and classes
   

• Set up and tear down event spaces, including tables, utensils, and service stations
   

• Ensure safe food handling procedures and maintain clean work and service areas
   

• Provide friendly and professional service to event participants and guests
   

• Work with the culinary team to ensure smooth event flow and timely service
   

• Support instructors and chefs as needed during workshops or demos
   

• Represent The Chef’s Experience with professionalism, hospitality, and respect
   

Qualifications

​

• Experience in food handling, catering, or customer service roles
   

• Food Safe or equivalent certification preferred
   

• Strong communication and teamwork skills
   

• Ability to work evenings and weekends, on-call
   

• Attention to cleanliness, safety, and detail
   

• Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic, community-oriented environment
   

Compensation

​

• $15-18/hour, based on experience and role in the event
   

• Compensation includes time for prep, service, and clean-up
   

• Ingredients and equipment will be provided by The Chef’s Experience
   

• Reimbursements may be offered in rare cases if personal items or purchases are needed
   

Additional Information

​

• This is a casual, non-permanent position, offered on an as-needed basis, typically once per month
   

• You will be contacted in advance of each event for availability
   

• Employment does not guarantee ongoing hours or regular scheduling
